"I Wanna Know What Love Is......"

"I know you can show me!"................ In the wonderful words of "Foreigner" here is a beautiful display of a loving husband forfeiting a perfectly warm, sunny, autumn Saturday to spend at home, and driving 3 1/2 hours to haul a one of a kind purchase of his wife's home to Indiana.
While visiting my parents in Illinois last week, my sister, Lisa took me to a quaint little antique store in Chillicothe. While shopping, I set my eyes on the most beautiful Dining Table! I had been shopping for "The" table for quite some time. This was exactly what I had in mind! After convincing Dan that no other table will ever do, he lovingly agreed to go back the following weekend to pick it up for me!
With our lives so busy, this loving gesture, means more than he will ever know!

I look forward to hosting many Holiday Dinners around this gorgeous table!
Thank you, Danno!

Back to School

Back to school was a dark rainy Thursday morning. As far as the morning routine went, our timing was impecable! We were all up early, highly nutritious lunches were packed, Dan made us a lovely scrambled egg breakfast, and we were 5 minutes early fo school! Louis and Levi were especially excited beacause we were able to walk them to their new classes! Unfortunately, we were the only parents in the upper class hallways. We went through, what we thought was going to be a brief tutorial, on opening a locker padlock for Louis, but it turned out to be more difficult than we had thought. Daddy showed him a few times, but still he struggled. Poor guy! By the end of the day he had mastered it and threw the combination away! Lucas' best friend Kirby did not come back to school this year. That was a Huge disappointment for him! We feel bad for the little fella! Ella has been welcomed into a recess "Club" called "Rose";) She was accepted because she had a flower on her shirt on Friday. Dan & I were unaware of the gang presence at this school, so we will be keeping a close eye on the activity and Ella's behavior. So, far her dress has been the only area affected. Today, she made sure she had a rose on her shirt, there was! Ella will also be taking piano lessons this year form the school music teacher! I am excited that it is during school hours! Levi will be participating in his first year of organized team sports! He will be on the Jr. High soccer team! Today is his first practice! He is ecstatic! Our first game is on Friday! Go Cougars!

Luke's Back to School Haircut

As you can see, Levi started the cut, and is now convinced he will continue to practice and get "real good"! Lucas was very nervous, but Levi did fine! I finished around the ears and cleaned the rest up! I think the 4th grade girls are in for a real treat! What a cutie!

We ate at the Crab House Again! We sure missed Deb & Ben and Lil! We ate here a few years ago all together! It was fun! This is all the boys were talking about! They had planned what they were ordering for weeks! Good Calamari, fried green tomatoes, and of course, crab! Benny, you would have loved it! tee hee!

Dave wanted to make sure we saw the Custom's House!
It is still legal to beat your wife on the steps here on Sundays.
Only with something no larger than your thumb!
We spent this day in downtown Charelston. We shopped the open market, and on King St. We all got new shoes! Britt got an ice cream maker at William Sonoma, thank you, Aunt Britt!
Lucas, Levi, & Blake got some choice necklaces! Shark tooth of course. Ella got some photography post cards that spell her name. I'll post later, pretty cool.
